Victoria has been my home for more than 30 years. I’ve spent much of my career leading community organizations, managing complex initiatives and improving the systems people depend on.

Learn moreCity Hall belongs to the people of Victoria. People should have a meaningful voice before important decisions are made, know what is genuinely open for decision, and see how their input affected the result. As Mayor, I will bring forward a Citizens’ Assembly early in the term as a practical demonstration of that approach. If Council does not fund it, I will pay for it out of my salary as Mayor.
Housing People Can Afford
Learn moreVictoria needs more housing, but success is not simply counting new units. We need homes that people who live and work here can actually afford, while protecting existing lower-cost rentals and adding new supply. City Hall should make approvals faster and more predictable, use public land strategically, partner with non-profit and other housing providers, and work regionally to deliver more housing while strengthening neighbourhoods and infrastructure.

I am proudly pro-union and support living wages, secure employment, apprenticeships and strong public services. I am also proud of 25 years of work at local non-profit community service agencies.
We need to support sustainable employment in the city, for the city workers we depend on and for everyone who serves our community.

Victoria should support local businesses, employees, entrepreneurs, co-operatives, social enterprises, Indigenous businesses, non-profits and community ownership.

Building the Platform With Victoria
Through effective leadership, I will engage with residents, labour, businesses, Indigenous communities, neighbourhoods, housing and homelessness organizations, environmental groups, arts and cultural communities, accessibility advocates, service providers, public-safety stakeholders and people with direct lived experience.
I want to hear what is working, what isn’t and what practical solutions we can build together.
The goal is a citizens-first City Hall: ambitious enough to get things done, careful with the public purse, respectful of the people who deliver our services, willing to work across differences, transparent about its decisions and accountable to the people it serves.
